Extended School Year
Many of the students who attend Bergen Center for Child Development experience regression when they are not in school. They may lose skills that take a long time to regain. This is called “regression-recoupment.”

Our ESY program offers the same high degree of structure and high expectations as our regular academic year, with added opportunities for outdoor learning, swimming and fun.
​
Our ESY program, one of the longest in the state, operates for 30 days in July and August. Students attend at no cost to parents when ESY is part of the IEP.
