We are excited to share that we are now accepting donations on our website! As a nonprofit organization, all donations received will be utilized to cover non-allowable expenses, including improvement of our facilities, enhance student experiences, i.e. field trips to the Liberty Science Center, Lifetown, LEGOLAND, movies and other community-based instruction activities. These experiences provide opportunities for students with disabilities to practice skills acquired in the classroom in the real world.
The Bergen Center for Child Development’s mission is to provide students with developmental disabilities an individualized education program, to ensure they make meaningful progress towards their goals and objectives. Currently serving approximately 40 students from across Northern New Jersey our services include occupational and physical therapy, speech therapy, art and music therapy, reading, and physical education. Our staff works tirelessly each day to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and reach their maximal potential.
Bergen Center’s short-term goals for these donations include acquiring a second school vehicle to help transport students to and from internships and provide support during field trips. Additionally, we anticipate an increase in enrollment which would require additional materials and resources for incoming students.
To donate to Bergen Center, simply click the “Donate” button on our website and follow the instructions provided. We appreciate your continued support!
